The Municipality of Favrskov

Centrally located in East Jutland, the Municipality of Favrskov is neighbour to both Aarhus, Randers, Viborg and Silkeborg and is close to both the railway and motorway networks.

As of January 1st 2011, the Municipality of Favrskov had a total of 46,894 inhabitants. With 295 hectares of forest and green areas, 130 kilometres of public streams and rivers and open landscape, Favrskov is a green oasis.

Favrskov is home to various educational institutions such as continuation schools, a folk high school, an upper secondary school (gymnasium), an adult education centre (VUC) and a technical academy. Moreover, being close to Aarhus means that international schools, universities and many other educational opportunities are all readily accessible.

The Municipality of Favrskov is part of Business Region Aarhus.
