Members of staff

Central Denmark has 5 permantly employed members of and additional 2 interns in Brussels. 

The EU Office is a part of a network consisting of international oriented staffmembers in the local municipalties and in the region. All of which can be contacted for additional information and counselling.


In Brussels you can find:

Lars Holte Nielsen, Director (mail)   

Lars is the CEO of Central Denmark EU Office and manager of the office in Brussels. Lars primary tasks at the office includes leadership, coordination, strategy and contact with the Board of trusties and ownership constituency. Lars works mainly with the areas of internationalization and the municipalities of Ikast-Brande and Lemvig. He is furthermore responsible for the interplay with the Region of Mid-Jutland. Lars has a master in Political Science from Copenhagen University and has formerly been employed by the European Commission and the Danish ministry of Business Affairs. 
 

 

Kirstine C. Magoola, EU Special adviser (mail

Kirstine C. Magoola works mainly with the areas of research, interregional cooperation and cooperation with third countires as well as integration, migration, terror and legal affairs. Geographically, she is the contact person for the municipalities of Favrskov, Horsens, Odder and Ringkøbing-Skjern. Kirstine has an M.A. in Contemporary History and Political Science and has worked with EU and international affairs for several years with work experience from the Danish Parliament, the European Parliament, The European Commission and the Red Cross EU Office in Brussels.

 Åse Højlund Nielsen, EU Adviser (mail)

Åse Højlund Nielsen works primarily with education and experience economy, primarily culture, and also employment and social relations. She is contact person for Samsø, Hedensted, Viborg, Silkeborg and Skanderborg municipalities. Åse Højlund Nielsen is M.A. in history and medieval archaeology and has work experience from the European Commission and several Danish local and national museums besides the University of Copenhagen.

Rasmus Aspe Mørk, EU Adviser (mail)

Rasmus Aspe Mørk works mainly on advancing the areas of business/ innovation, health, Information Technology and transport, and is contact person for the municipalities of Aarhus, Struer, Holsterbo and Skive. Rasmus has been an intern in the Danish Embassy in Madrid and later on worked as head of section in the Danish Ministry of the Interior and Health where, among other things, he was responsible for a secretariat function for the Nordic Council of Ministers. He has a M.Sc. in Political Science from the University of Aarhus and runs a Marathon in 3 hours 23 minutes.

 

 

Birgitte Karnøe Frederiksen, EU Adviser (mail)

Birgitte Karnøe Frederiksen works mainly within the following fields: energy, environment and food. Birgitte is the contact person for: Herning, Randers, Norddjurs, Samsø, and Syddjurs.

Birgitte has a master degree in Political Science as well as a bachelor degree in Spanish (Aarhus University) and has worked with international projects – including as a project manager of EU projects – for several years. Furthermore, Birgitte has worked at the Danish NATO Representation in Brussels and has been associate professor of international relations at the Danish Military Academy in Copenhagen. From 2007 until 2010, she worked at Aalborg’s Representative Office in Beijing, China.

Karen Munk Jensen, Project Officer (mail)

Karen Munk Jensen works mainly with the two projects 2Fish and SOS-Network, which Central Denmark EU Office are coordinating.

Ida Heebøll, Project Officer (mail)

Ida Heebøll works mainly with the Central Denmark EU Office product MORE, but is also involved in different projects in the office. Ida has a master degree in Political Science from Aarhus University.

 

 

Mikkel Roberts, intern (mail)

Mikkel Roberts studies European Studies at Aarhus University.

 

 

Annemarie Etzerodt, intern (mail)

Annemarie Etzerodt studies European Studies at Aarhus University.
